I don't know about your categorization of the 1935-1945 cohort as "traditionalists". Let's take a look at some of the names in that cohort: 7 member of the Chicago 8(Abby Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, Tom Hayden, Rennie Davis, John Froines, Lee Weiner, Bobby Seale), Grace Slick, Janis Joplin, Country Joe McDonald, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, Joan Baez, Judy Collins, all 4 of the Beatles, all 4 of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Frank Zappa, Jane Fonda, Peter Fonda, Jack Nicholson, Dennis Hopper, Dustinn Hoffman, Robert De Niro, Germaine Greer, Erica Jong. I could probably come up with lots more. The baby boomers may be associated with the turbulent 60's and 70's, but the real thought leaders and artistic trend setters were born either immediately before or during the war. The baby boomers were just the mass market for the new trends.

I was out at FDIC and heard Gordon Grahm speak with Bill Goldfedder. I am the community Service Specialist with the Abington Township Fire Department and would like to set up a Safety and Risk Seminor here in Abington for a 8 hour day some weekend. Let me know if this is possible and how do I try and schedule this? The program with Bill and Gordon at FDIc was one of the most intresting programs i have sat through in my 39 years in the Fire Service. I work full time in the FM Office here in Abington Township Montgomery County Pa. Please let me know who and how I need to see or do to make this happen.

I was a young student of Paul Stein prior to "making a deal" with the LAFD. Though challenging at times,I have tried to uphold my end of the deal for the last 30 years. I consider Chief Stein a role model and mentor of mine then and now. I hope that I have had a positive influence on at least one young firefighter, like Paul has done for so many. Thanks Chief
