Paul Stein

Santa Monica F.D.

Paul H. Stein retired Chief Officer from the Santa Monica Fire Department. During his 31 year career Chief Stein has 25 years experience as a supervisor. He has served as Line Officer, Battalion Commander, Fire Marshal and Division Chief Training Officer. After retirement he spent nine months as Interim Fire Chief in Lakeside California.

Chief Stein has served as the Fire Technology Coordinator at Santa Monica College, an instructor for the California Fire Academy System and former Adjunct Faculty Member for the National Fire Academy.

He holds an AS Degree in Fire Technology and a BA Degree in Management. Chief Stein is a Master Instructor for the California Department of Education.
