FIRE OnLine Home Banking

The Internet has paved the way for some remarkable changes in the way we do our banking. The days of standing in line are over for those who take advantage of Internet-based services. Transactions that once took away from your valuable time can now be completed with the click of mouse on your convenient schedule – 24/7.

LAFCU members have embraced FIRE OnLine Home Banking. How do we know? Nearly 65% of our member households have accessed their accounts online! This is eye-opening since the average number of online banking users among financial institutions is less than 50%. Whoa! Thank you for using FIRE OnLine!

We continually look to improve our services and when it comes to home banking, we’ve listened to your feedback. More specifically, you’ve asked for additional tools to help you manage your finances online. You ask, we deliver! This summer, FIRE OnLine Home Banking is being upgraded with more progressive, financial tools to help you manage your money and we’re excited about its great features like FinanceWorks and the new Bill Pay program.

Finance Works combines the best of Quicken with online banking. You’ll be able to track your spending, identify ways to control spending and save more money. Budgeting features will help you create a monthly budget and track against it. FIRE OnLine will also feature Central Account Management, giving you the ability to manage all of your accounts in one place, regardless of which financial institution they are held at!

The new Bill Pay program will help you save time and money! You’ll be able to pay an entire month’s bills in just minutes, set up recurring payments to avoid late payments, and know when funds will be debited from your account. Plus with electronic-bills (e-bills, for short), you can basically setup your bills on auto-pilot! You’ll be able to receive electronic copies of your bills from your billers like Macy’s, Nordstrom, Chevron and others, and then pay them automatically. Setting up and paying e-bills is the most convenient way to pay from one, online, secured location.

Not only are FinanceWorks and Bill Pay great features of the NEW FIRE OnLine Home Banking, but you’ll also experience enhanced security to allow for faster, streamlined account access without the virtual keyboard! With new navigation options, you can view, sort, search, and export transactions quickly. Plus, you can track stocks online too.

If you run into any problems and need some help, no worries! Try our new WebChat or secure email. Both services are hi-tech, secure communication channels. You can even join us for a FIRE OnLine and Bill Pay workshop. We’ll give you hands-on training so that you can learn all the tips and tricks for FIRE OnLine. If you prefer, we’ll even come to your fire station to offer personalized training.

The NEW FIRE OnLine Home Banking is coming soon and we know you’ll be pleased!

Will the new online banking system work with mobile devices like Blackberry’s?

A mobile-friendly version of the new FIRE OnLine is currently unavailable, but is planned for the next phase of our FIRE OnLine upgrades. If you access the site with your mobile phone, you may not be able to take full advantage of all the site’s features than if you logged on via your home computer.

An eBill is an electronic copy of your bill from billers like Macy’s, Nordstrom, Chevron, and others. You’ll receive an eBill in your Bill Inbox, and they basically fall into three types:

    - The first type is a bill we retrieve from your biller’s website and present to you electronically.

    - The second type is an electronic bill that we receive from one of your billers and which we redirect to you.

    - The third type is a bill that we receive in paper form and which we scan and present to you electronically. Before you can receive this type of bill, you need to change your address and have the bill redirected to our processing center.
